Jim Culhane, President & CEO
Jim holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of New Hampshire and a Master of Social Work from the University of North Carolina and has more than 25 years of relevant health and home care experience. He has held leadership positions at several organizations, including an acute rehab hospital and other home care and hospice agencies. Jim has been leading Lake Sunapee Region VNA & Hospice (LSRVNA) as President & CEO since 2015.
Alaina Alexander-Buck, RN, BSN, Senior Home Care Clinical Manager
Alaina earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing in 2011. She has worked at Upstate Cardiology in Greenville, SC as a cardiac device nurse and at Pikes Peak Hospice and Palliative Care in Colorado Springs, CO as a hospice case manager. Since joining LSRVNA in 2015 as the agency’s first Weekend Baylor Nurse, she has also worked as Weekend Supervisor. In her current role as Senior Home Care Clinical Manager, she is responsible for staff and patient care oversight with a focus on improving clinical outcomes, staff knowledge and skills, and cost management.
Caitlin Barden, RN, BSN, Chief Clinical Officer
Caitlin’s nursing career began in home health care after earning her BSN from the University of New Hampshire. Since joining LSRVNA in 2010, she has held several positions including RN Case Manager for both home health care and hospice clients, Preceptor for new clinical field staff, and Quality Assurance Director. As Chief Clinical Officer, Caitlin is responsible for oversight of clinical operations and program processes, including home care, intake, quality assurance and performance improvement.
Julie Boyer, RN, MSN, Hospice Clinical Manager
Julie earned her Associate Degree in Nursing from Manchester Community College in 2001 and her Master’s Degree in Nursing through Saint Joseph’s College of Maine in 2016. She has worked in a variety of health care settings including hospital-based care and community health care services. She joined LSRVNA in 2021 as the Advanced Illness Management (AIM) Nurse and then became the Hospice and Palliative Care Coordinator in 2022. In her current role as Hospice Clinical Manager, Julie is responsible for staff and patient care oversight with a focus on improving clinical outcomes, staff knowledge and skills, and cost management.
Trisha Gray, Director of Human Resources
Trisha earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of New Hampshire. Her Human Resources career comprises over 14 years of experience, including working at various agencies for the State of New Hampshire, each with its own diverse needs and staff experiences. Trisha joined LSRVNA in 2022 as Director of Human Resources. In this role, she focuses on strategies in support of employee engagement, recruitment and retention, succession planning, organizational development, and compensation and benefits. She is also responsible for the management and implementation of human resources policies, with a focus on compliance, education and support.
Monique Malanga, Chief Financial Officer
Monique earned her BS in Business Management from Southern New Hampshire University. She has more than 25 years of professional experience in the health care industry, including a position in the finance department of New London Hospital before joining LSRVNA in 2002. In her position as Chief Financial Officer, Monique also oversees building and property issues, as well as contracts with vendors, including the agency’s information technology equipment and support.
Jeana Newbern, Marketing & Community Outreach Manager
Jeana has enjoyed working in the health care field for more than 30 years in the areas of public relations, marketing and management. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of New Hampshire and has worked at Brigham & Women’s Hospital, New London Hospital and as the office and marketing manager at a medical billing company. She joined LSRVNA in 2016 and works closely with staff and community partners to promote LSRVNA services and community health initiatives.
Melinda Palmer, LPN, MS, Revenue Cycle Director
Melinda received a Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Management with a minor in Information Technology and a Master’s Degree in Leadership, all from Granite State College. She has held several roles at LSRVNA since first joining the agency in 1999, working in the intake department, supervising scheduling and serving as the IT Manager. As the Revenue Cycle Director, Melinda is responsible for oversight of medical records, purchasing, document management and all aspects of billing. She also oversees information technology.
Catherine Raymond, Development Officer
Cathy received her BA from Susquehanna University and has more than 30 years of experience in non-profit fund raising, marketing and community engagement. She has held positions at educational and health care organizations including Dartmouth College, The Spence School (NYC), New England College, New London Hospital and Catholic Medical Center. Cathy joined the LSRVNA team in 2004 and oversees philanthropy, donor relations and community benefits.
Nicole Soojian, RN, BSN, Home Care Clinical Manager
Nicole graduated from Colby-Sawyer College in 2014 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. She started her career at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in the Cardiac Specialty Care Unit and then worked at Resolute Health Hospital in New Braunfels, TX on the Medical Surgical Unit. She joined LSRVNA in 2020 as a Home Care RN Case Manager and took on her current position as Home Care Clinical Manager in 2023. In this role, Nicole is responsible for staff and patient care oversight with a focus on improving clinical outcomes, staff knowledge and skills, and cost management.
Katie Wells, RN, Community Health Services Manager
Katie earned a BA from Hampshire College in 1993 and her Nursing degree from Phillips Beth Israel School of Nursing in NYC in 1998. Prior to nursing school, she worked as a residential manager for adults with special needs in NYC. Katie’s nursing career has involved work in cardiology, mental health and home care nursing. She joined LSRVNA in 2015 as a home care nurse and has also served as Paraprofessional Clinical Manager and the Wellness and Clinic Manager. In her current role as Community Health Services Manager, Katie oversees all clinic and personal care services and staff.
