2023 Kearsarge Kids Christmas Program Brings Holiday Joy
For over 20 years, Lake Sunapee Region VNA & Hospice—in partnership with many caring businesses, individuals and community partners—has overseen the Kearsarge Kids Christmas Program, which brings holiday cheer to local families, especially the kids.
52 local families and more than 125 children were given a little extra help and holiday joy this year. Our wonderful sponsors adopted families and fulfilled their wish lists, while generous donors made cash gifts to help us purchase requested gift cards. In addition to gifts and gift cards for the children, every family received a generous Market Basket™ gift card to help with holiday meals and treats.
And that’s not all! Individuals and organizations also contributed items to the program’s “freebie table,” from which families could choose a couple of extra items to take home…things like mittens, scarves, toys, craft items and more. Special thanks to the New London Rotary Club, which held a book drive (part of its Literacy Program) and collected 110 children’s books for the freebie table this year.
