Renaissance Shoppe Celebration Highlights
Lake Sunapee Region VNA & Hospice (LSRVNA) celebrated the 20th Anniversary of The Renaissance Shoppe at a very special party on September 24. The celebration and fundraiser featured recognition of key VIPs instrumental in the early years of the Shoppe:
- Joanne Hughes and Michele Holton, Shoppe Co-Founders
- Andi Steel, President & CEO of LSRVNA when the Shoppe opened in 2004
- Claudia Lewis (in memory of) and Pat Woolson, two original Shoppe volunteers
- Dan and Ellie Snyder, extraordinary early supporters
- Court Cross (in memory of and represented by Rip and Debbie Cross), the amazing volunteer “clerk of the works” who oversaw extensive building renovations to accommodate the Shoppe
The party, under a tent, was adorned with fabulous floral centerpieces created with items donated to the Shoppe, display boards telling the history of the Shoppe, and a Silent & Live Auction featuring interesting and varied items from the Shoppe.
Since its founding in 2004, The Renaissance Shoppe has raised more than $2.5 million to support the vital services of Lake Sunapee Region VNA & Hospice. An impressive group of dedicated, hard-working volunteers remains essential in order to run the Shoppe five days each week. “In addition to the significant funds raised for care and programs, we like to say that the Shoppe is a win-win for everyone: those who want to find the perfect home for items they no longer need and those seeking that perfect item they do need,” shared Jim Culhane, LSRVNA President & CEO. Culhane also gave special thanks to the event’s leadership sponsors: Claremont Savings Bank and LaValley Building Supply.
The Renaissance Shoppe is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm and located in the LSRVNA building at 107 Newport Road in New London. For more information, call 603-526-6711 or visit the Renaissance Shoppe.
