Lake Sunapee VNA Partnering with Summercrest on Film Screenings
In an effort to encourage more open discussion about end-of-life decisions, Summercrest will be holding two free documentary screenings for the community in partnership with Lake Sunapee VNA.
The film "Nine to Ninety" addresses what it takes to live, love and die with dignity and grace in the modern age. "Being Mortal" explores the hopes of patients and families facing terminal illness and their relationships with the doctors, nurses and family members who care for them. Community members and health care providers are encouraged to see these films and be part of the national conversation taking place in our community that asks: Have you and your family had these important conversations and planned ahead?
"Nine to Ninety" will be shown on Thursday, January 11 at 10:00 am (snow date of January 18). "Being Mortal" will be shown on Thursday, February 8 at 10:00 am (snow date of February 15). Both films will be shown at Summercrest at 169 Summer Street in Newport and will be followed by a discussion guided by Lake Sunapee VNA staff.
