Lake Sunapee VNA Recognizes Board Members, Staff and Volunteers
Jim Culhane, President & CEO, spoke about the agency's strong and successful year in 2018, as well as the goals and challenges moving forward. He expressed gratitude for an exceptionally supportive community, talented staff and the more than 90 volunteers who enrich virtually every program and service provided by LSRVNA.
Board Chair, Dr. Donald Eberly, welcomed new board members Ann Dewey of Newport, Beverly Rankin of Claremont, Linda Schofield of Wilmot, Mary Scott of New London and Neil Shifrin of Sutton. He also thanked outgoing board members Kristyn Jamieson of New London and Lisa Richmond of Claremont for their service.
The 2019 Staff Excellence Award was presented to Jill Lee, HR/Fiscal Associate. A resident of Newbury and an LSRVNA employee for nearly 20 years, Lee was praised for her exceptional work ethic and described as "the quiet rock that many of us stand on, adapting to change with grace."
Dorie Morrow of Newbury received the 2019 Volunteer Excellence Award. She has volunteered at LSRVNA for 20 years in many capacities, including visiting hospice patients, leading the hospice vigil team, preparing lunches for the Good Day Respite program and assisting with annual flu clinics. It was stated that "we can all aspire to live like Dorie, with joy and in service to others."
